The Airport
There is currently just one terminal at Hurghada airport, located just a 20 minute drive from the main city. The airport is fairly modern with an expanding range of facilities and things to keep you occupied.

Transport from the airport
You can leave the airport using public transport which runs frequently to the main tourist areas.
Minibuses: They wait outside the airport and once full, head off to Hurghada with a journey time of 15-20 minutes.
Taxis: Can be expensive so check your fare before starting your journey. They are clearly visible outside the main airport terminal.

You can find a wide range of facilities at the airport including banking and currency exchange. There are also several restaurants and snack bars.
Shopping is varied with a newsagent, bookshop, and numerous souvenir shops competing for your remaining Egyptian pounds. Duty free is available.
